SUMMARY:
Assist customers with the tasting experience as they enter the store. “Foodies” with an interest and passion for cooking are preferred. 15-25 hrs per week including weekends. The Olive ~ Me & Co. Tasting Room Associate is responsible for conducting the daily retail operations and transactions while providing excellent customer service. The incumbent, working within a customer service/sales orientated environment, is expected to be responsive to the needs and concerns of customers, understand product knowledge and all information related to our business. In keeping with Olive~Me & Co. values and competencies, the incumbent develops and maintains positive working relationships with all contacts internal and external to our business.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Implements retail procedures
a) Executes daily retail operations and transactions.
b) Provides high level of customer service implementing store standards.
c) Bottles, labels and fills orders and bottles product to restock shelves
d) Assist with moving/managing inventory between warehouse and store
e) Knows and implements the store’s loss prevention guidelines. Operate cash register, Customer service oriented, Set up displays of merchandise in windows or display cases, Process money, cheque and credit/debit card payment, Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, Provide advice about merchandise, Suggest ways to care for goods, Suggestive selling, Work with minimal supervision
f) Set ups booth at trade shows and travels to events occasionally promoting product
2. Maintains the retail store
a) Organizes, cleans and maintains the cashier station, retail areas and fusti tanks.
b) Assists with the set-up of displays and merchandizing plans under the direction of the owner.
c) Assists the owner with Shipping/Receiving, stocking the shelves, filling tanks and bottles and ticketing merchandise.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 required.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales required.
- Experience with a Point of Sale system is required.
